- Presidential bait-and-switch (Karl Rove, WSJ)

- Obama: The great divider? (Victor Davis Hanson, RCP)
- Has Obama buried Reagan? (Daniel Henninger, WSJ)
- Genuine Trumps Gimmick (Stolen Thunder)
- Money for nothing (Marcus Winters, City Journal)

- A Moderate Manifesto (David Brooks, NY Times) Well, isn’t it nice that the Buckley/Brooks intellectual set is having buyer’s remorse? Sorry, boys — you’ve made your bed (or better, messed it). Now lie in it.
- A deal to Athens, and not the one in Texas (Houston Departures) A sub-$600 fare in June was too good to pass up last night. And I’m glad I didn’t pass it up, because it’s gone now. Still deals in May, though. That booking will just about conclude my overseas travel for the year, but I’m pleased to have some good trips lined up at crazy bargain rates.
- Dallas Cowboys release safety Roy Williams (Todd Archer, DMN) Say goodbye to one of the most overrated safeties in the history of the NFL.

I am recently returned to the U.S. from two years in Morocco. I was in Texas some 32 years ago and I must say it has grown past my expectations. I blog as well and have been sniffing about for local bloggers. You certainly have a full and varied posting. I shall return.
