Since I’m taking tomorrow off, the Fourth of July weekend is going to get kickstarted tonight with a roadtrip down to Greek Brothers in El Campo, for dinner and a show from the Randy Rogers Band.
We haven’t seen Randy in a while, and I fear that we won’t be able to catch him in such intimate venues so easily after his Radney Foster-produced CD comes out later this summer.
Good for Randy, though, because he’s one of the genuine nice guys playing music in Texas right now.

Kevin…Sorry to have missed you on your Gruene trip. Are you familiar with any of these bands? No Justice, Shane Rogers Band or the Dahebegebees.

I met an Okie at Casbeers (SA spot) playing bass for an Austin chick-led band. A good fella, but too bad the music wasn’t.
