I would say that Shimon Peres has finally lost his mind, except he's been this way as long as I've been studying the question of Palestine:

Foreign Minister Shimon Peres used his address to the UN General Assembly Wednesday to urge the Palestinians to return to the negotiating table. He also said his vision of a "New Middle East" remains intact.
