Daschle Is Patriotic "On Occasion"

The major media has recently made a big deal of Tom Daschle backtracking, and now "supporting" Bush and the war effort.

But this is a pretty interesting quote from him:

"I think that on occasion it is important for us to speak with one voice in support of our troop efforts, and we're looking for an opportunity to do that," said Mr. Daschle, South Dakota Democrat.

On occasion it's important to support America's war effort?

Hmm... it strikes me that not much has changed with Tom Daschle's view at all -- and that his "patriotism" like his other qualities, reeks of political opportunism.
