The Resourceful Four Seasons
I forgot to post this story from Graham's recent visit.
His new company had him staying in the Four Seasons downtown, a posh downtown hotel close to their offices. After his first night there, one of their fine service agents called Graham to ask if everything was okay. At this point, he told them no, actually. It turns out Graham is very used to brushing his teeth with extremely COLD running tap water. However, in Houston, the tap water in summer/fall tends to come out lukewarm, because the city just never really cools off this time of year. So Graham asked them if there was ANYTHING they could do about the temperature of the tap water -- to which they replied, well, no, that's one of the few things that the fine Four Seasons staff can't fix.
But those folks are resourceful! They couldn't fix the tap water, but they DID wind up sending up chilled bottled water every morning for the rest of Graham's stay, so that he could brush his teeth with water the temperature at which he preferred.
Okay, so maybe the place is $250+ per night, but that's service!
And very amusing to me.
