Friday’s loss gave much ammo to the Fire Mick soldiers.
/ come on. As an AAC fan I'm disappointed for the guy and I'm sure their fans would like some tourney runs, but the guy's built a great program that most teams don't want to play.

This wasn't one of Cronin's most talented or deep teams and they were really spent by the end of the AAC tourney, but I expected this team to win at least a game and perhaps to go deeper. Not sure what happens at ncas tourney time.
Boss Turner's twitter people do some weird isht
He's not
really well done piece
Most journos are surprisingly bad writers and with the collapse of the industry (and cutbacks in editing), it really shows
Mick Cronin is my kind of coach.
This league deserves more credit than it gets. He nearly won another title with a team that isn't appreciably more talented than the mid tier in the conference

UH can be a basketball power.
Football is tough, but basketball is possible.
Gotta pay coach now and not fUHk things up. I think Khator and Tilman understand that.

Meh
Those two teams are mediocre, just as OU is.
They showed what they are against Iowa State, a legit good team in the Big 12 (none are great this year, but K-State should scare people)

We are four games in, guys. Maybe check back with us sometime in mid to late march?
Ginna miss that guy
The NBA opened Sampson’s eyes to new ideas, including more nuanced pick-and-roll coverages, floor spacing and applying advanced analytics.
// All of that shows, but unlike Penny Hardaway, Sampson sees no need to throw that in people's faces. Despite the OU/IU problems, Sampson has tons of friends in the sport. It's hard not to like the guy.
The real question is, does he really need to jump to a truly elite job (of which there aren't many) and will they accommodate his family like UH has? I am hoping he realizes that it will be harder, but that he can accomplish great things at UH (as he's proving).
As for a basketball move to A&M... why? UCLA is one of those elite hoops programs (or was) -- that could be a tougher call.

Love that we have this guy and what he has done
Yeah, it's a good question.
No way that team deserves to get in unless they turn it around in a big way.
The collapse of Sooner hoops since the start of year is a real mystery.

Armoni Brooks, the Coog shooting guard, had 12 boards in the last game. The Coogs are not the biggest team in the AAC but lead in rebounds. They emphasize it.
The Rox are an offense first team. Defense and rebounding aren't emphasized
