Chapter Rough Draft Complete

So, it's 9:20 pm on Sunday night, and I've completed the last of the "rough" draft of the dissertation chapter I wrote about last time -- chapter introduction written, and massive editing along with a fair amount of new interpretation; total length: 53 pages or so. Not a bad effort for two weekends. The chapter's still in very rough shape stylistically, but substantively I don't anticipate many changes. Next weekend, I move on to writing the overall introduction/lit review, and the conclusion to the dissertation. After that, I start massive stylistic editing. That will honestly be the hardest part of the whole damn thing. Ugh.

In case anyone's wondering why I've not been writing much here, that would be the reason. No time left over, I'm afraid.

Well, some time left over. I went to the gym last night for the first time in over a month. It felt good, but I am SORE today. I also have been working a little on the new version of Reductio ad Absurdum. The old pithy headline approach is going away, to be replaced by something more along the lines of Arts and Letters Daily, but focused more on politics, and with more attitude. It's almost ready to launch -- indeed, I've been maintaining the entries for a week now (yeah, keeping up two blogs may also account for my time deficit this week!) I think it's going to be fun.

I have a million comments on current affairs that I would like to pound out, but damn, the night is just gone, and I must get to the gym. And must work on the new site just a bit. So the comments will just have to wait.
