Movable Type, Weblog, Dissertation

I've been playing around some tonight with Movable Type, and I'm very impressed. It's a really powerful piece of software. I'm a big fan of GreyMatter, but MT is going to make possible some fairly radical changes to the weblog because it is simply more advanced content management software. I have finalized the reconceptualization of the weblog in my mind, so the next step is the html mockup (and I've been vacillating all night long on xhtml 1.0 transitional versus html 4.01 strict, but I think 4.01 strict is likely to win out -- with CSS2 of course) and then the actual implementation via MT. It's a fairly decent project, given my unfamiliarity with MT.

I have no estimated completion time, as I'm just stealing moments here and there for it while I make the final push on the dissertation. I've finally completed the research for the remaining substantive chapter, and plan on writing that chapter over the long new year's weekend. Then I'll just have the intro (lit review) and the conclusion to write, and that won't take long at all (another weekend at most). Indeed, when I do complete this chapter, the biggest damn pain in the ass is going to be going through and correcting all of my style, proofreading, etc. Blar!
