Iraq Is Next?

My good friend John Vaughn hears an implicit warning to Iraq and Saddam Hussein in tonight's press conference, and I agree with that assessment.

I've been under the weather and haven't watched the talking heads tonight, but Mr. Vaughn tells me that the few talking heads who noted what seemed clearly to be a warning to Iraq have instead taken the comments as supportive of the so-called "Colin Powell" position on Iraq. Those pundits are going to be in for a surprise, I suspect. But not the readers of this space, who are used to our being a few steps ahead. Kudos to Mr. Vaughn for his observations.

Overall, I thought Bush was effective tonight, and commanding.
