Post-Workout Thoughts

After weeks without my truck, I had forgotten what it is like to be stuck in 4:00 pm Galleria-area traffic at Post Oak and Westheimer. Blar! Still, it is nice to be mobile again.

Stream of consciousness: I need to modify my stylesheet so that the "preface" quotes on some journal entries are aligned to the right. Maybe. I haven't entirely decided.

We got to the gym a little later than usual tonight (about 9:30) and were surprised to find it much busier than usual. Not ridiculously busy or anything, but significantly more so than any other night we've been. I'm still tweaking the routine since 24 Hour has better variety in its weight training machines. Tonight was chest/abs, and I think we are going to settle on the old Bench, Fly, Ab Crunch routine, and add a Torso Flexor machine as well. That amounted to a very good chest/abs workout tonight, followed by 30 minutes on the recombinant bike. I used the new Nomad IIc tonight, and REALLY like it! Music really helps alleviate the monotony of the bike. While riding the bike, I noticed a woman who came into the gym and began tinkering with one of the machines. Her clothing matched quite nicely -- gray shirt, gray tights, and a lovely black (workout?) vest! Not to mention silver earrings with some black highlights. And makeup that complemented it all. Her workout lasted all of about ten minutes, and she departed (right behind me and Callie). I noticed a black BMW on the way out that I half-jokingly decided was hers (because it would have matched). I laughed when she got into it.

I'm running out of time tonight to respond to several thoughtful conversations that are ongoing. I'm not ignoring anyone, just running a time deficit today for some reason!
