A Beer with Your A.M. Yard Sale?

We drove by the Icehouse tonight on the way to Spanish Village (for what turned out to be a wonderful dinner), and noticed on the sign: "Yard sale Sat 8-12." It strikes me that this is a perfect way to do a yard sale -- starting at 8am on a hot saturday at a place with plenty of cold longnecks! My kind of place, indeed. I am continually amazed when I drive by the place in the mornings -- say 10 am or so -- and the old geezers (regulars, that is) are already there knocking down cold ones.

As a result of today's efforts, all of my books are now off the living room floor! However, I'm still short one bookcase that won't be delivered until Monday, so some of the books are still awaiting a new home. The dining room/library is still dysfunctional because of this, the guest room is still dysfunctional, the kitchen has (empty) boxes all over but is otherwise functional, the bathroom is functional but still awaiting a few items, and the bedroom is functional, but a mess. We're getting there, slowly. Much more slowly than I anticipated.
