Busy Weekend

Micah just headed out after a busy, fun weekend. He rolled in yesterday morning on the bus, and we went to Clear Lake to check out a car for which he was high bidder on e-bay. The car checked out fine, and he completed the transaction. Then we decided to check out Mardi Gras in Galveston. The traffic and police presence were both horrendous. We finally got down to the Strand to discover they were charging 15 bucks to get into what looked like a fairly lame affair. We decided we could have a far better time hanging out at the icehouse for a while, so we beat it back to Houston.

It was nice to hang at the Icehouse after a cold winter away. The warm weather is certainly welcome! After the Icehouse, we grabbed food at La Jaliscience and then took off to The Beer Cellar to see a cover band we first heard at the Icehouse, The Pollyhollidaise. Those guys do a nice job with a wide rang of music, and we had an excellent time.

We just sent Micah off on his way home after a LONG night's sleep. I'm guessing this is the longest, deepest sleep he's had since his wife had the baby. Now we have him rested and ready to get back!
