Houston Held Hostage

I worked from home on this rainy, cold, dreary day, and I have to say, I'm damn glad I didn't venture out into the nastiness.  It would have been a great day to stay in bed with a book, but alas, the bills do not get paid that way!

Interesting ongoing correspondence with a young lady working for a translation firm who stumbled upon my website looking for comments on Noam Chomsky (I was not helpful), and with perhaps an evil twin over at Trudy's Bitchin' Hats.  I'm also behind on the correspondence at this point.  And sleepy.  Oops!

The fire hydrant that was destroyed in the 21 December crash outside my apartment still has not been replaced.  It's good to know that MY apartment will be doused quickly and efficiently in the event of a fire.  Just another day in Lee Brown's (he's on the left -- appropriate, huh?) America - Houston Held Hostage.
