I'm out of touch with quite a few people right now.  I don't think I'm in an antisocial mood really.  But maybe I am.  I get intensely involved in projects, and I tend just to disappear.  When I am working hard on things -- and lately I've been working hard on 8 More Miles, work, and dissertation -- I tend to get so involved that I lose track of time, and can't be bothered with phone calls or other social interaction.  I recall once in grad school Dr. Gibson saying that he preferred we email him because it forced us to be concise, get to the point, and not waste his time.  That amused me at the time, because I'm not one for idle chit chat when I'm busy.  I think it offended most of the grad students.  Oh well.

All of that being said, tonight I got together with Mr. Vaughn for a trip to Enron to see the Astros.  The Astros are dreadful this year, but I enjoyed myself immensely.  The company was excellent, Enron seemed to be less of a blaring multimedia event than earlier in the season when I went, and I think I've been missing baseball since the Coogs' season ended.

However, the best sports news is, Camp Campo opened this week, and Dallas Cowboys football will soon be upon us.

I got some interesting email from Laura yesterday that I've still not answered.  And someone from Georgia Tech made a number of visits to see Professor Stuber's Tribute page today.  I'm not sure why I tie those two things together.  Maybe because I'm dead tired.
