A Biden Moment For David Van Os?

Isolated Desolation notes that a quote that supporters keep attributing to David Van Os isn’t his own.

I guess we shouldn’t be surprised at a Biden Moment from a fringe candidacy.

  • What else should we expect from Democrats..

I am sure this wont get as much press as say..Tom DeLay’s indictment..

  • And yes, the ad could be read to imply that he said it first, but, c’mon, this is a tempest in a teapot.

Yup, it is, and its really no big deal. I was hoping the tenor of my post made it seem that way.

    I just found it humorous.

I’m sure he doesn’t even know who said it first. It’s a ‘public domain’ type of phrase, and it’s what he uses to close his stump speech. It’s kind of like "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead," although granted, a little more obscure. David Van Os’ credentials are the equal of Greg Abbott’s. He’s the Democratic Party’s candidate for Attorney General. Just because he points out the uncomfortable truth that the Republican Party of Texas is a wholly owned subsidiary of corporate interests in his speeches doesn’t make him a fringe candidate.

You’re absolutely right about Joe Biden, though. I can’t believe he’s even thinking about another Presidential run after the scandal that ran him out last time. I’m so sick of him I could throw up.

True. There is not just one reason he’s a fringe candidate. There are multiple reasons. 🙂

And that’s okay. Both parties nominate kooky fringe candidates all the time. And sometimes I even like some of those kooky fringe candidates.

I don’t think it’s unfair or inaccurate to refer to David Van Os that way, although maybe some folks would prefer the term "colorful." Okay, he’s colorful too! 🙂
