That's Coach Knight, Son

Okay, so I couldn't help but see this quote about Bob Knight (in a pretty good article on the Knight-Sutton rivalry):

"When people see him on interviews, I don't think people see the real Bobby Knight," Walker said. "He just plays a lot of games with the media. If you're not punching his buttons, he's very much a gentleman. He's old school."

Yeah, right. I was under the impression that the real Bobby Knight tended to react to people punching his buttons by punching (or shoving or choking) them. Or sometimes throwing potted plants across an office and smashing them. I'm glad that's not the "real" Bobby Knight. It's just the buffoon who plays him in public.

Could someone please explain to me how a-holes of all types always have such fanatic apologists?
