Ongoing Project

My ongoing duct insulation project continues. Yesterday, I sealed all of the leaky duct seams, which took quite a little while, because they had to be thoroughly cleaned and prepped. I will say that foil duct tape is an excellent thing -- far superior to traditional duct tape!

I even managed to insulate one run of ductwork -- from the main duct to the kitchen. I "just" have four other branch lines, plus the main duct coming from the blower. I should make fairly rapid progress today, now that I have some "feel" for how to do this stuff. Unfortunately, it's slow, nasty work, and I don't think I can improve the efficiency of my installation efforts significantly.
