Real Writing Coming Soon

I have a longer journal entry bouncing around in my head that ties together some thoughts on LiveJournal more broadly, a LiveJournal discussion on journalism that Jaffo pulled down recently, textual analysis, Nietzsche, and Rousseau. Instead of actually writing that entry, however, I've been spending the bulk of my time readying things for the radical site reconstruction that will take place this weekend. Part of that reconstruction includes adding an essays section, which is where the entry bouncing around in my head really belongs. If all goes smoothly, there will be a new look and a fun new piece of writing up by the end of the weekend.

I'm currently working on throwing together an intimate group to meet once a week and discuss short works of textual analysis/political philosophy. I need to pull together the specific readings this weekend, though I have a general idea. I hope to avoid the lack of focus that befell the last attempt at a reading group.
