Searches in February

The Reason Forum got several hundred hits via the search engines in February, and it's now time to look back at some of the more interesting search engine requests:

Gordon Stuber remains the most popular search item (his associated pages got over 200 hits in February):
/search q="Gordon Stuber"
/search q=stuber bbc hl=es lr=
/search q=aupair bbc btnG=Google Search hl=en lr= safe=off
/search q=gordon tribute stuber
/search q="Gordon Stuber" au pair hq= num=20 hl=en lr= safe=off
/search q=Au Pairs documentary hl=en lr= safe=off start=10 sa=N

But some people are highly specific about WHOSE Stuber page they want:
/searchq=whited AND tribute to Gordon L. Stuber

While we're on the topic of Stuber, here are some other similarly icky search requests:
/search q=coyote droppings hl=en lr= safe=off start=10 sa=N
/search q=pics of hookworms hq= hl=en lr= safe=off
/search q=David Boies attractive hl=en lr= safe=off start=110 sa=N

I share the political opinions expressed by some of the searches:
/search q=Ariel Sharon and Condoleeza Rice nice hl=en lr= safe=off
/search q="like paul gigot" hl=en lr= safe=off
/search q=+"jesse jacksoff" btnG=Google Search
/search q=chavez hypocrisy hl=en lr= safe=off start=60 sa=N

And then there were just the strange ones:
/cgi-bin/gsearch.chm q=pete burns as a woman lr= start=20 sa=N
/bin/query p=Objectivism a liberal commentary hc=0 hs=0
/search q="+are videogames art?" hl=en lr= safe=off
/search q=sally satel photo hl=en lr= safe=off start=10 sa=N

And that's about it, really. Lots of requests related to my musical tastes, friends, scholarship, etc. But those requests are relatively normal (although someone STILL is trying to find Venus Williams Nude, and I wish them good luck. Take pictures and send them along when you do, so I will finally have the goods to satisfy all the otherwise disappointed searchers who come here)!
