Happy Holidays

I've spent the entire day running around like mad trying to get ready to get out of town tomorrow.  I have grown to hate one time of year, and that is Xmas, because people drive like idiots, they walk like idiots, and they generally wander around mindlessly getting in the damn way of people who have things to do.  It will be nice to hit the road tomorrow and get away to the relative calm of rural Oklahoma (with my newly arrived book by Harry Jaffa, which looks quite good).

Because of travel, the weblog will be on vacation for a few days.  The journal will be updated retroactively, when I return.  When that will be could be a matter of uncertainty, since forecasters are predicting a freezing rain/snow mix all along my route on 26 December, which could force me to bail on Xmas Day in an attempt to beat it.

So, I hope you all have a Merry Xmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Gift Exchange Day, College Football Bowl Orgy, or whatever you may find to celebrate this time of year!
