After over a week of being in the woods or in quiet rural areas, I am suffering today -- my first full day back in a metro area of 4 million -- from extreme sensory overload. On the drive in today, it seemed like cars were coming at me from everywhere. I say it seemed, because few things are actually moving at 6:45 a.m. in Montrose besides myself. I had the same experience at work: phones ringing, email flying, people talking, and my new computer had arrived as well, requiring me to copy stuff I wanted from the old machine out to the network and such to transfer to the new beast. WAY too much going on!
It has left me absolutely exhausted tonight. It's raining outside, and I think I'm going to sleep very well.
The weblog returns tomorrow. I was just too busy today to fool with it.
