New Web Design

I spent almost the entire day overhauling the website.  I finished almost everything but the journal stuff, which poses a few problems (and was really the driving force behind the need to revamp everything in the first place).  I have tried to improve the navigation through the site, which had become clunky in spots.  I've tried to improve and streamline the consistency and feel of the site.  I've done major editing on virtually every page of the site (save for the previous journal entries, which I don't plan on touching).  But ultimately, despite all of the work involved, the site has not changed nearly as radically as I initially thought it would.  And at the end of the day, I saw no reason to scrap my Dallas Cowboys color scheme!

To show you how much time I spent behind the keyboard yesterday, one of the highlights of the day was going shopping in the evening at the new Albertson's grocery store that has opened in the Heights.  The one thing I have missed since moving to Montrose from suburban west Houston was that particular chain of grocery stores, which has just been slow to move into the inner city in Houston.  The store in the Heights is incredible.  Kev's more than happy to say goodbye to Randall's, Kroger, and all of the other poor chain stores nearby.  Between Albertson's, the new Whole Foods Market, and the upcoming HEB market, the old stores in this area are about to feel the big hurt.

That's enough for now!
