Humming:  "Mind Your Own Business" by Hank Williams, Jr.

Mind Your Own Business

I woke up at 4 a.m. this morning, a lingering effect of jet lag.  It was good, though, because I went grocery shopping for the week.  Randall's is pretty empty at 4:30 or so in the morning!

There was a lot waiting on me at work today, but it was kind of nice sitting and catching up on world events for the first time in roughly a month.  No reading or research has been done in my absence, largely dating back to the float trip.  That's okay, though.  Job security, right!

Callie's sister in law Julie had her third child when we were in London, and Callie talked to Julie's mother, who expressed pleasure at the fact Callie had "found someone" but displeasure at the fact that we are quite nearly living together.   Two thoughts struck me:  1) It's none of your goddamn business; 2) Why not worry about something more important, like why the hell your country doesn't believe in air conditioning or maintenance?!

Yes, Kev's back in town!  And so is his attitude!

On a sadder note, Miss Maxwell has broken up with Ryan and is understandably a little down.  I don't like my friends being sad!  It was really good to see her at work, however.  The few days I've been in this month, she's been travelling.  We had a good talk about the sorry state of affairs in the office over lunch at Chuy's.   The thought continues to strike me that I really have some excellent friends whom I value greatly.
