DiVino

DiVino, the Italian restaurant on West Alabama, gets a tip of the hat tonight.

I had a great dinner there (a goat cheese ravioli dish for me). The food is good enough there, but I really like the fact that you can go spend an evening at the place, and never feel rushed. Indeed, our food was kind of slow to come out, but it gave our little crew a nice chance to have an appetizer, drink some wine, and carry on.

For several hours.

It's nice to go to a place that serves good food and wine that doesn't try to move you out the door in thirty minutes. An offbeat Montrose place at that.

This is the kind of place my parents just LOVE, and is nearly impossible to find. I confess I'm one of the impatient ones who wants the food to get there right now dammit, but I do appreciate lingering over a meal and chatting. Plus, if I stay there longer, I have more room for dessert. ;)
