Looking For Love (In All The Wrong Places)?

Anybody remember the scene in that gawdawful movie that set back the Houston area's image at least thirty years or so, when Bud (Travolta) and crew are sitting in a diner, the place serves him undercooked food even after he warned the waitress not to undercook it, and he slings the plate across the room, only to have it land on the Bad Guy?

It wasn't a good idea then, as Bad Guy promptly kicked Bud's arse.

But it's an even worse idea to do it these days:

One man was wounded early today when a food fight turned into a gunfight in northwest Harris County.

An argument started between two groups of men about 1 a.m. outside a night club in the 3400 block of FM 1960 West, said Harris County Sheriff's Department deputies.

When a man in one group threw a taco at a man in the other group, the taco target and some of his friends produced handguns and fired about a half-dozen shots at the opposing group.

One man was hit in the leg by a shot and taken to an area hospital. Officials said the wound was not life-threatening.

The armed group of men fled after the shooting, and police are looking for them.

I'm guessing Johnny Lee wasn't singing in the background of this affair.

Is it scary that I thought of the exact same movie scene when I first read this? Great minds...haha!

I can't believe the phrase "taco target" made it into print. Ever.
