I've blurbed now on LaE that if this issue REALLY hit the mainstream press the election would be over tomorrow.
That Chris freaking Dodd is speaking as a financial expert on this matter should let every American know that we're toast.

What is astounding is the McCain campaign's inability to make this an issue. Their guy was on the right side of this issue, partisanship blocked his reform efforts, and they can't/won't promote that simple message?!
They don't deserve to win if they can't communicate better than that. We've been ill-served by one President who cannot communicate -- the last thing we need is another. But I don't see any signs that the campaign recognizes they are losing this election right now because of their incoherence on an issue that could be strong for McCain.
