Comment Spammers
Comment spammers seem to have figured out how to bypass the Captcha challenge, which was effective at keeping the b@stards out for quite a little while.
I've taken some additional measures that seem to be working for now, but we'll see how long they are effective.
It's entirely possible that the changes may cause problems for legitimate commenters. Please let me know if you try to leave a comment and there's a problem.

Those spammer kooks! They ruin it for everyone! You have my sincere sympathy, Dr. Whited!
I just get tons of prescription drug spammers and no comments anyhow on FortBendThinker.us...oh well, at least better than weirdo kooks!

It looks like everything is working okay.
The stuff I installed attempts to head off malicious scripts that attack the commenting function directly by redirecting the spammers BEFORE they hit the commenting function, and shouldn't actually affect legitimate comments entered on the comment form... but you never know if it's going actually to work like it should!

You know, I never looked at it that way, Mr. H.! I should count my lucky stars at least "somebody" out there truly cares about me!...especially all the way from Russia sometimes! ("From Russia with Love", eh?).

Don't worry, Mr. H, I did not take it personally, really--we all get those "caring" spam messages from caring souls that just want to help us all with our anatomical woes.
I mistakenly assumed you were making a general comment to all readers, not just me, before you indicated it was meant solely for Kevin.
