Photos
I just posted some Float Trip photos here.
And a darkish/blurry shot of the Ringwalds from Friday.
It's been a pretty mellow weekend.
Necessary recharging before Sox/Astros and the Chicago Blues Festival next weekend!
UPDATE: The group Float Trip Flickr page is here.

NB: Float trip album will not be worth looking at until John and I have added the pictures taken on the river. Stay tuned.

I have been....anxious, yes!

Sometimes I miss the old days when you had to use up the whole film and then get it developed and finally got to see your pictures a year later. Patience, whilo!

And thank you, Cathy. Cool pics of all of y'all. How'd you get Rick Bayless to cook for you folks?
And what's this "alcohol check" silliness. Are they checking for drunk boaters or what?

R, they were checking for hard liquor, styrofoam, and glass containers. The rumor was all they'd do was ticket you if you happened to have any.
It was bizarre to have to pull over...in a kayak.
Lots 'o cops everywhere that weekend.

Thanks, Callie. I'd heard Kevin refer to the gendearmes de eau (or some such) before, and couldn't quite figure out why they'd be out there.
And the Rick Bayless comment was a kind of backhanded compliment to Mister Whited, if you can believe that.
