ReplayTV Geekery
After reading Dwight Silverman's recent column on moving TiVo files from the DVR to computers that share the same network (for eventual DVD burning or other manipulation), I started wondering if my wonderful ReplayTV could do the same thing.
The answer: Hell yeah, and it's been able to do so for quite a bit longer.
It just requires this java-based software, which I just downloaded and installed. It found the ReplayTV unit and downloaded program information from it with no problems.
I haven't tried to download from the unit yet, as I don't have a dvd burner and it seems kind of pointless at the moment, but it looks relatively straightforward.
