A 50 Minute Wait
The wait at my polling place was 50 minutes today, which is an improvement on the hour+ most people waited to vote early at the West Gray location closest to me, but not an improvement on the 30 seconds or so Callie waited at the downtown early voting location.
I didn't vote at this precinct four years ago, so I can't compare today's wait with comparable previous experience. It was, of course, longer than the wait for recent municipal and Congressional elections.
Luckily, the rain held off for the time I was standing in line outside. It didn't seem to deter later voters, though.

I was the first person at my polling place this morning, showing up 15 minutes before the doors opened.
I was out by six minutes after the doors opened.
By then, there were already about 20 people waiting in line.
If something happens and the computer crashes after reading the first ballot, or all the other ballots get shredded, Mr. Badnarik will win that precinct.

I am REALLY glad I voted early, since all the kids are home today.
Sigh.

West Gray Friday at 2, in incredibly heavy rain, it was a 2hour wait when I got there, and longer when I left. How amusing, really, if the people who voted early to avoid the crowds ended up in longer lines!

Almost two hours in line here in southwest Missouri. I was in the county clerk's office Saturday and could have voted in 30 seconds, but I'm also a traditionalist on some things...

Tom: You southwest Missourians seem to be carrying Matt Blunt to the governor's office late. Very nicely done!

We were on the phones in Newton County until a half hour before the phones closed. We actually sent people out at 6:30 PM to pick up a couple of elderly voters who needed a ride to the polls in one of the last calls of the night.
