Tom Bazan calls attention to this Crime Stoppers item in the Comical:
Houston police are searching for a man who robs people at bus and rail stops at knifepoint in the downtown area.
Police said the man approaches his victims at a bus or rail stop and asks for change. As the victims make change, he grabs the money and runs.
The man has become increasingly violent, assaulting his victims or robbing them at knifepoint.
A city that declines to protect users of public infrastructure like bus and train stops from beggars (violent or otherwise) but that can devote precious resources to installing traffic cameras at stop lights all over town is a city with misplaced priorities.
