Buses Running The Rail Line?
Rich Connelly has previously noted the Houston Texans' plans to eliminate park-and-ride shuttles so people can be herded onto the Danger Train.
But it seems that METRO is prepared in case the inefficient little Danger Train needs some help:
Connaughton adds that the Texans "have contracted with Metro to have buses standing by at Reliant Park so if there are too many people at one time for the train to handle, buses will run parallel service taking them back to their cars along the rail line."
It's good that METRO still has buses for when the Danger Train is inadequate, eh?
It would be even better if the park-and-ride lots were their destination.
(Update) Rob Booth notes that Lucas Wall took quotes for this story from a METRO press release. Since Wall doesn't mention that, it gives the impression that he was actually out hustling up news. Nice, huh?

Wow. As much as I moan and groan about the morons running the DC-Metropolitan area Metro system, I have to admit the DC Metro Board are geniuses compared to what you got goin' on in Houston.

We all know that this train was to bring people from the old astro dome up to the new park that was the reason to build it not really for the people of Houston so don't be fooled while the new park is taking in the money and the train brings in more -that is so people can park at the dome and ridde to the new park where oarking is so tight .
