Fan Friendly No More?
I'm not normally one to bitch and moan about bands being sellouts.
You gotta do what you gotta do on the marketing side to make it as a band.
But it's annoying when major bands like the Counting Crows team up with sponsors that insist you can only have the privilege of seeing them IF you pony up your $55 (not including ridiculous INconvenience charge) and only IF you do so with your American Express card.
It looks like it will be a cool show -- House of Blues in Chicago.
And I'm sure it will be a packed house. But that's just annoying, especially so from a band that's always been known as extremely fan friendly.
I know, I should give AMEX credit for sponsoring this "charity event" but to hell with that.
