It WILL Rain. It ALWAYS rains

Various forecasts are predicting nice weather for my annual Memorial Day Float Trip in NE Oklahoma.

High 80s, low chances of rain (at least for this time of year).

I'm not buying it. Not for a minute. I don't think we've missed rain or had warm weather throughout a float trip since we've been doing 'em (about six years now).

If it works out that way, it'll be great. But I think meteorologists (not weathermen, as Dan Lovett points out) are conspiring to catch us unawares. We won't let them. :)

That one year I MADE it rain.

And it rained beer, no less.

Well, I note that the forecast has changed a bit since I looked at it this morning, so who knows.

Now, if it's raining beer, I could get used to it pretty quick :).

I emailed Tom Hanna a screen capture last night just so I would have it, because I KNEW it would get worse. Sure enough, it's started moving in the direction of worse. :)

Still, the temps look like they're going to be good. A little rain is okay. Cold and rainy the whole time gets old.

But the rainy and overcast weather last year was one of my favorite aspects of last year...

I think we're overdue for sun and warm after last year. :)

Well, since I cannot make it (alas), I hope you get it :)

(the sun and warm, that is)

So, what are the odds that the first year we move the campsite well down the road (no longer within a walk of Roxie's), there's a good band playing there Friday night?

We may have to come up with a designated driver for the Burtschi Brothers, whom I've wanted to see for a while.
